Bobi and Bebe just superb.

0

To all of you out there that thought Dr.chameleone was the only power house of Uganda’s music, I believe that is in history. The just concluded Agenze versus Carolina launches were an eye opener that revealed to us who is who Uganda wise. Chameleone who was expected to perform on both concerts at kyadondo and Africana never turned up to any all because of serious commitments he had in Europe. The news of his absence became popular in the last five days to the shows and thus many observers predicted the Bebe and Bobi were to make some losses due to the absence of the Chameleone factor. However on Friday none of these briefs come to be proved as both Ghetto president and Munene Munene managed to do very well with out the heavy weight doctor. Other artists that were seen on either Bobi wine of Bebe cool banners but never made it to the concerts were Goodlife crew, GNL Zamba and Juliana Kanyomozi.

With all events having superb beginnings and mouth watering endings, we are privileged to present to you the final verdict of who became who, how, where and when. Sorry to those who are not yet grasping what I am about to say, I mean the dual Bobi Wine versus Bebe cool concerts the turned people’s weekends into heated up debates of who won and how. Really action all started on Friday night when both Bobi Wine and Bebe cool pulled out their best dance styles and vibes to their dear and diehard fans. As far as numbers are concerned, both the Agenze and Carolina main concerts at Kyadondo grounds and Hotel Africana respectively had fans more than what was expected even though the Agenze launch pulled slightly more fans than Bobi wine but putting in mind the huge difference between the entrance fees at both concerts, the slight difference was expected according to our concrete research. As far as numbers are concerned, the Bobi wine versus Bebe cool main concerts pulled out 4:5 ratio wise and respectively. However basing on the entrance fee facts the we all know, the main concerts returns were in an estimated ratio of 9:7(9 for Bobi wine and 7 for Bebe cool). For the other four separate shows that took place at Colline hotel and Ggaba beach for Bobi wine and Luweero and Resort beach for Bebe cool, the stands are as follows.

As far as Bobi Wine is concerned, for the other two shows at Mukono Colline hotel and Ggaba beach, the fans were far from counting. However the most notable one is the Sunday show at Ggaba beach were Bobi wine got maximum entrance for his conclusion. In summary, the three Bobi wine concerts were a mega success.

Talking about Big size Bebe cool’s final shows in Luweero on Saturday and later on Resort beach on Sunday, both events appealed to fans positively and thus Bebe cool just like the later also managed to prove a great point as far as Uganda is top artists are concerned.

With all this seen, critically analyzed and basing on the infinity number of fans that each one received at his concerts, I surely failed to decide who the winner was and I neutrally think that the two tied up. However I think the rest of you out there can use the most true facts I have presented to you to pass your final verdict of who among the two won both the war and the battle.

Munene is big size.

0

After all the talking had been made, Friday was finally the day when Bebe Cool (Munene Munene) proved his big size description. This all happen at kyadondo rugby grounds were Bebe hosted his Fans for the Agenze launch. The show which costed 10,000 to semi VIPs and a wholly sum 30,000 to the real VIPs started at some few minutes past the hour of 9:00.By 8:30 when our group arrived at Kyadondo, everything was looking so good for Bebe cool and by 9:30, kyadondo was overwhelmed by a big crowd that was esteemed to be approximately 9000(even though according to Bebe cool, the total audience was 15,000).Music started at 7:30 and went on up to 2:15am.

Among the Many Artists who entertained the Bebe cool die hard included Sylvia namugenyi, Peter miles and Mensan, wyre, nameless, Nazizi, King Steven (kid fox) and Spinner Shiru who left the crowd wondering whether he was the crazy DJ Benny Dee who spins for Wicleaf Jean and Akon. The Kenyan group entertained the fans with their cool and sweet music but the most notable one was Wyre the love child who turned into ladies favourite that day.

Among the many Ugandan artists who proved their true identity and style to the Bebe cool crowd included Peter Miles,Chizzo,Toolman  and King Steven(Kid fox). This show was proudly sponsored By Zain Uganda, mountain dew, dfcu bank,Dmark power, bell lager, capital fm,beat  fm, silk events and  the organizers for the night were Balaam enterprises. The climax of the show reached at 9:30pm when finally the long awaited Big Size Bebe cool stepped on to stage in a cage. Bebe who looked so happy because of the big crowd he had received started off with a killer presentation starting with his Mukomera (in prison) single. In his all orange uniform, he proved his worth. After a number of hits, Bebe cool stepped off stage for a break and later returned to accomplish his mission. During the break other artists and good friends to Bebe were give chance to bless the concert. On his return, he began with his collaborations with the east African basement cool and later teamed up with Peter miles and Meshan. From this, Bebe cool went on to perform his new album songs which Included Agenze and the chemical combined bogola ko(boom back)Among the many songs he sang all together included but not limited to Mukomera,Bamugambe, kuss kuss, Mukwano, fire anthem, combination, kube, Lwakiseyagala, agenze and the fans favourite chemical combined boom back “Bogola ko”.

The weak line of the day was drawn by the Gagamel band which failed to perform up to the required standards. Even though they were smartly dressed in pure white T-shirts bearing Bebe’s photo, truth should be said that this group was ill prepared for the night. Their failure was however not easily noticed asBebe cool compensated their negatives with the extra ordinary fireworks which lighted up the skies.

Bebe cool who sang while his dear wife looked at him in the VIP audience, became kind of emotion when he was presenting songs such as Bamugambe and agenze. Even though Zuena never stepped on to the stage, however it all looked clear that she would possibly return to Bebe the soonest. For more about her, let’s just watch and see what her next move is. After such appealing and perfect presentation, the show came to its conclusion with all fans convinced and satisfied that their money had been used appropriately. All in all the Agenze kyadondo concert was a great success to both Bebe cool and Balaam enterprises.

Am one person who doesn’t really get down well with all these Ugandans who try to do R n B MUSIC, Just because a few of them get to do justice to it.
Now that the aids day is just a few days back i took time to check out musicians in Uganda who have really done music that spreads message of sensitization about the virus. And as  I watched different videos, I got one I usually call the crowner of all of them, just next to PHILLY BONGOLE LUTAYA(RIP)’S songs, guys you will forgive me for still honoring and always putting him above everyone in the aspect of Ugandan music. Enough of my adoration of the legend. The song I watched was called a lil bit of love produced by fennon records owned by STEVE JEAN a Ugandan music Producers and sung by all-star musicians in Uganda back in 2006. This song had a number of talented Ugandan artists that include Kid fox, Meseach Ssemakula, Blu 3, Nandujja, Peter miles, Ham Kay, Juliana and many more. But this particular guy caught my eyes and ears, his voice was so rich, this prompted me to find out what is this brother doing to date.

THE 24 year old Nicky Nola has grown and has at present shown his diversity in the music genre, seeing him release a number of new track like Habiba that has a zouke touch, Nkusiimye and Aliwa in 2009. Nick Nola who writes all his music, has written songs for Ugandan super gals HB TOXIC chat buster ALL I NEED and he has worked with some of the brightest talents in the Ugandan music industry like GNL, Raba Daba and McKenzie in the song Sembera.
Nicky Nola has worked on duet with Saint CA In Nkoye Okulimba that has rocked some of the biggest TV networks on the African continent Like MTV BASE,EATV & CHANNEL O.
