Viva Stars celebrate 9 Years of Entertaining East Africa in Style [#Photos]

Friday 5th May 2017 was a night to remember for Viva Stars girls, management and supporters. Hosted at Club Ambiance in Bukesa and dubbed Viva Stars 9 Years Anniversary, the bright looking girl entertainers were out and about all night just to entertain their guests, with much appreciation to the media, organisations that have supported over the years and fans.
Viva Stars are the longest operating girls’ group in Uganda! Under guidance, supervision and direction of Mr. Vianney Kushaba among other stakeholders, the group has moved places and commendably made is mark in the East African music industry. They were nominated in the Best Group category for the prestigious HiPipo Music Awards 2017 #HMA2017.
Viva Stars are best known for their community contribution to environmental preservation and some of their greatest hits ever such as Kona Endongo produced by Henry Kiwuuwa, Jangu Eno, Owempisa and Which Woman among others. Over the years, the Viva Stars have released various albums and singles.
In 2009, Viva Stars with the support of Prof. Lawrence Mugisha carried out a tree planting campaign that saw the girls put on ground over 10,000 trees in Hoima, Western Uganda.
The campaign was intended to raise awareness to communities about the need to preserve our environment. Viva Stars plan to plant more thousands of trees by the end of 2017.
