Princess Juliana Kanyomozi

Princess Juliana Kanyomozi, popularly known by the mononym Juliana, is a multi award-winning Ugandan pop musician, actress, and entertainer.

Kanyomozi is a first cousin to Rukidi IV of Toro. Her father was a drummer and her grandmother was a vocalist. She attended Namasagali College in Kamuli District for her high school education.

Princess Juliana Kanyomozi has over the year won and been nominated in different prestigious HiPipo Music Awards categories including but not limited to Artist of the Year, Best Female Artist and Best Artist on Social Media among others.

In 2008, Juliana Kanyomozi was crowned PAM Awards Artist of the year. She holds the record of being the first female musician to have ever won PAM Awards artist of the year accolade. Her success has been a continuous process.

She started off her music career in the late 1990s as a karaoke singer at Hope Mukasa’s Sabrina’s pub. She then started to record her music mainly English songs. Juliana later discovered that English was not marketable on the Ugandan music market. This discovery forced her to change from English to Luganda. Her real stardom started the day she began recording Luganda songs. Juliana Kanyomozi’s breakthrough songs were two collaborations with Ghetto President and Honorable member parliament; Bobi Wine titled Taata wa Baana and Maama Mbire.
