Uganda Telecom together with Pepsi today unveiled a sponsorship package of over Ushs40 million for rapper Daniel Kigozi popularly known as Navio’s August 23 day-time concert dubbed Navio Concert.
This concert is set to take place at Kati Kati grounds starting at 10 am till 8pm.
Pepsi, the flagship brand of soft drink giants Crown Beverages Limited (CBL) has injected Ushs30 million to cater for refreshments and other logistics whereas Uganda Telecom (UTL) has injected approximately Ushs10 million to cater for the venue as well as other concert logistics.
Navio, East Africa’s biggest Hip-Hop artiste stands as the first Hip-Hop artiste to land such big sponsorship from corporate companies.
Navio warmly welcomed the support and thanked the two corporate companies for believing in rap music. He promised his fans the best concert experience ever.
“With this massive support from my sponsors, I promise all my fans the best experience ever at my concert and I invite you all for an out of this world music experience,” the delighted Navio said.
The Rubaga-boy will perform alongside the music doctor- Jose Chameleone, self-proclaimed big-size-Bebe Cool, Sheeba, Irene Ntale, Peter Miles, The Mith, Cindy, Vampino, Keko, Khalifa Aganaga and many others lined up for this concert.
Entrance fee to the concert will be shs10, 000 per head.
Navio has over the years since his breakthrough in 2000 enjoyed his own musical success as he is Uganda’s brightest rap export having performed at major concerts in Africa, Europe and North America.
