In 2008, Juliana Kanyomozi was crowned PAM Awards Artist of the year. She holds the record of being the only female musician to have ever won PAM Awards artist of the year accolade. Her success has been a continuous process. She started off her music career in the late 1990s as a karaoke singer at Hope Mukasas Sabrinas pub. She then started to record her music mainly English songs. Juliana later discovered that English was not marketable on the Ugandan music market. This discovery forced her to change from English to Luganda. Her real stardom started the day she began recording Luganda songs. Juliana Kanyomozis breakthrough songs were two collaborations with Ghetto President Bobi Wine titled Taata wa Baana and Maama Mbire.
